Russian roulette drinking game
Use this phone game as a russian roulette drinking game. The player who gets the bang drinks once or takes a forfeit. Everyone else is safe. The game uses one phone and no real gun.
PlayThe base rule
Agree the rule before the first name is typed.
A click means that chamber was empty. That player stays in and drinks nothing.
A bang means that chamber was the live one. That player takes one drink or one forfeit, then sits out until the next game.
Do not stack drinks on one bang. One bang is one consequence.
Drinking game rules for a round
Open the site and enter 2 to 8 names. The phone picks who goes first.
Pass the phone to the person on the card. Only that person holds the button.
Hold for one second. The phone counts 3, 2, 1, then plays a click or a bang.
On a click, pass the phone to the next living player. The same cylinder continues, so the next pull is riskier.
On a bang, that player drinks or takes the forfeit. A new cylinder loads for whoever is still in.
The last player still in wins the round. Play again keeps the names.
The screen-by-screen version of those steps sits on the how to play page. This page only adds the drink.
House rules you can swap in
Keep the cylinder as the app runs it. Change only what a bang means.
- One sip. The bang is a single sip. A click is nothing. This is the rule to use when the group is still learning the phone.
- Drink or dare. The player who gets the bang chooses one drink or one forfeit from the dare list. They do not do both.
- Water is allowed. Anyone may swap their drink for water. The group does not vote on it. The swap is the whole rule.
- Winner names the next forfeit. The last player in picks the forfeit for the next game before you tap Play again. It is still one forfeit, not a pile of them.
- Click is safe, bang is the round. Ignore the elimination if you want a lighter night. The bang still means one drink, then you load a fresh game with the same names and keep going.
Beer drinking game
A beer drinking game uses the same bang. The drink is a sip of beer.
Someone who is not drinking beer takes water, or takes the forfeit instead. Do not pour a second drink to make the round match.
Shot game rules
Some groups call the one-drink version a shot game. Cap it at one small drink on a bang.
Do not add a shot for a close call, a spin, or a click. If one shot is already enough, take the forfeit and leave the glass alone.
A drinking game online
You play this drinking game online by opening the site in a browser. You still need one phone for the whole group.
If friends are on a video call, one person shares the screen and the others call their turns. A second phone does not join the round. The party page covers hosting at home. A call is covered on the shared-screen page.
Drink responsibly
Drink only if you are of legal drinking age where you are. Stop when you want. Water counts.
Who drinks in this russian roulette drinking game?
The player who gets the bang. A click means that player drinks nothing and stays in.
Can we play with no alcohol?
Yes. Use water, or send the bang to the dare list. The phone game does not change.
How many drinks can one bang cause?
One. Agree that before you start. A close odds label is not an extra drink.
Do we each need a phone?
No. One phone goes around the room. Friends on a call share one screen and call the turns.
